Things happen when you "know people"

For how new we are at this whole photography business thing, we sure have gotten some great opportunities already.
Example: Photographing the Miss American Fork pageant a few weeks ago. Jason's sister Staci was in charge of the whole thing and brought us on board. It was great and we had a blast

A few days ago we were sitting on the couch waiting to go to a family photoshoot. Ten minutes later we were at the high school being hoisted over the football field in the aerial platform on one of the fire trucks!

Turns out, they had just remodeled the field with turf instead of grass and wanted some bird's eye photos. One of the fire guys brought his point-and-shoot and tried to get the job done. Apparently it wasn't working so well.
So, seeing as Aubrey and Jason work for the fire department, they knew right who to call.
We got to watch the homecoming game from 100 feet in the air!
Oh yeah. And take photos of the new field.

(I hate to admit it, but we felt pretty important with a huge crowd of high-schoolers staring at us the whole time. Wishing they were us...wondering who we were...how we got to be so cool...)

So who knows? One of our photos could hang in the mayor's office. Or be printed in the yearbook. Or be put in some time capsule, immortalizing our names.
It could happen.
