Melissa and Travis

Melissa and Travis tied the knot in an awesome park in Highland. It was a very relaxed day with beautiful weather and a beautiful wedding!

Melissa's nephew was the ring bearer. (You may recognize him from our earlier days) He was so cute, they had to tug him away from Melissa to go sit back in his seat.

Melissa and Travis are some of the most laid back people I have ever met! They are so fun and carefree, and didn't let anything ruin their perfect day.

Their theme was very beachy with bright, fun colors. I went a little crazy with the ring shots...shocker, I know...but here are a few of my faves!

Some fun details from the day:

And the [cheese]cake cutting!

In case you were wondering...cheesecake makes a much bigger mess than regular cake, and is harder to get off! I think Melissa had the right idea:

We had an awesome time with you guys, thanks for all the fun!

Stay tuned everyone...I have LOADS of incredible sessions to post this week! You won't be disappointed!

Ashley & Sean - Part I

Hang on tight! This was a marathon photoshoot. Engagement session, bridal session, and family session all in one. (Okay, not all in one. But all in the same day!)

Aubrey and I spent the day with Ashley and Sean, and Sean's three darling little girls. We all had a blast on our 3 in 1 photoshoot at Sundance. (Yes, film festival Sundance.)
We were a little nervous by the rainclouds that were threatening us on the way up there, but by the time we started shooting, the weather could not have been more perfect. All the photos taken outside were 100% natural light.

See what I mean? Totally gorgeous light. (These two aren't bad either.)

We actually started off the shoot inside one of the lodges. We had to take advantage of the awesome architecture.

I loooove this green wall.

Then back outside for some more yummy light portraits.
I am amazed by this photo. Ashley and Sean needed almost NO retouching at all! I changed this photo to black & white and that's about it. The total gorgeous-ness is all them.

Soooo, yeah. Do you think these two might have a little bit of a connection?

Just a little?

This is one seriously hot couple. Add a seriously hot location and dang, you've got an awesome photo.

We will so being shooting at Sundance again. Even if just for this building and its AWESOME window.

Oh yeah, we can't forget the rock!

Sean, you made a good choice. It's beautiful!

We finished up this phase of our photoshoot right as the last bit of sun was peeking around the mountain. The perfect light and this gorgeous pair made for my favorite shot of the day.

Stay tuned. Parts II and III are coming your way!

Alexis & Rob

Look carefully.
Does this girl look familiar? Well, she should!
Alexis was the model for our incredible Trash the Dress sessions last year.
Remember?

Now Alexis is going to be a real bride! Meet Rob, her other half.

These two are such a cute and unique couple. I'm sooo excited to be shooting their sure-to-be-amazing, anything-but-ordinary wedding next month.
Don't believe me? Check out the amazing location they chose for their engagement photos.
This adorable, little house belongs to Alexis' neighbors and they graciously agreed to let us take over their yard for a little while.

Check. Out. The. Garage. Door.

Who in the world has a garage door like that? Not me.
Isn't it amazing!

Now, we can't let the house take all the credit. Let's get back to our totally hot couple.

I <3 his smile in this one.

Awesome hammock in backyard? Check.

Totally gorgeous couple? Check.

Completely amazing photos? Check.

Seriously. These two make my job so easy. I hardly had to do anything!

The side of the house made a perfect backdrop for some intimate moments. I love the passion in these!

Totally and completely made for each other. It's incredible.

Alexis and Rob, you guys are so amazing! We're counting down the days to your amazing wedding!

Ryanne (and Braden too!)

When we asked Ryanne what she was picturing for her bridal portraits, she told us she wanted something old fashioned and vintage.
Oh, and she wanted her fiance there too.

"But he'll see you in your dress before the wedding day!"

She didn't care. The marriage is about the two of them and she wanted to share this part with him too.
"I don't want a bunch of photos of just me. I want him there too."

I've got to hand it to her. This shoot turned out AMAZING! Props to Ryanne for the great ideas.

The two are incredible together and so comfortable in front of the camera. Everything between them was natural. We didn't have to force them into awkward poses to get a beautiful photo.

They showed up to the location looking perfect. He looked so handsome in his tux and she was jaw-dropping in her gorgeous dress.

It was very obvious to me and Aubrey why these two are together. The chemistry they have together is amazing.

Classic beauty! I love how well they did the serious thing.

These next two shots are my absolute FAVORITES from the day. We found this little spot by accident, but it turned out amazing. Check out those colors!

We loved this one so much, we ordered a 15x30 canvas as a studio sample. It just arrived the other day and it is incredible.

Now, it just wouldn't be right if we didn't get a few shots of just the bride.
This girl is so hot. Check out her blue eyes!

And of course, we can't forget the handsome groom.

A lot of guys hate being shoved in front of a camera, but Braden was such a good sport. He totally worked it.

One thing that I love about Ryanne is her attention to detail. Check out her matching shoes. How cute are they?

And her bouquet? She wrapped the stems in pearls to match her jewelry. So cute!!

We can't wait to see what these two have cooked up for their wedding day, which just happens to be tomorrow!! So stay tuned for more of this hot couple. It's hard to imagine them being any more gorgeous, but I'm sure they'll pull it off.
